12th July 2004 - D’Agostino grows confident for Oulton Park after strong pace in testing

Oulton Park, England – After a tough time at Castle Combe Joe D’Agostino is looking to bounce back at the 11th and 12th Rounds of the UK Formula Ford Championship to be held this weekend, 18-19 July, at the Oulton Park International circuit in Cheshire.

Things are looking good leading up to the event as pre-race testing has gone well for the American. In the most recent test D’Agostino finished the day in 5th position unofficially.

“I am very pleased things have gone well and our pace is strong leading up to the races this weekend at Oulton Park. It is a fantastic but difficult circuit and after a few days of testing I am feeling comfortable around the track. Team JLR, along with my engineer Paul Haigh, have helped me tremendously to settle into the circuit. With testing going well it has given me a big boost of confidence leading up to this weekend.”

On another note there is an article being published about the Team JLR team-mates, also known as the American duo of D’Agostino and Kimball, in the well known British motorsport magazine, Autosport. The article is scheduled to appear in the 15 July post-British GP issue of Autosport.

D’Agostino would like to thank Team JLR and all of his sponsors: Arai Helmets, Skip Barber Racing School, Sparco, The Mayes Group, and all of his personal sponsors.
