March 22, 2003 – Sebring, Florida – D’Agostino doubles at Sebring
Still leading Regional Championship with one round to go

Joe D’Agostino competed in the Southern Regional Championship this weekend at Sebring. “We used the same 12 Hour course as I raced on last weekend, so it was good to go back and see if I improved on my driving”, D’Agostino said.

The weather did not cooperate as rain came down and wet the course enough to put the treaded tires on. In qualifying D’Agostino sat on the pole and with the changing weather looked forward to improving his skills under these conditions.

Race one was held on Saturday and D’Agostino concentrated on learning how to go fast under varying track changes. “The last time I raced here in similar conditions I took too long to get going, so my goal was to make the first lap fast without falling off the track” said D’Agostino. The checker waved and D’Agostino won the race unchallenged.

“ Today was good for me because I made progress in the areas that needed improvement”.

Sunday provided similar conditions and D’Agostino once again looked to improve his skills. The results were the same as D’Agostino won and continued his lead in the Southern Series Regional Championship with one race to go. The finale will be held at Daytona Speedway on April 12, 13.
