July 4-6, 2003 -Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin- D'Agostino moves to sixth in the championship with four rounds to go

This past weekend the Formula Dodge National Championship headed back to the picturesque Road America to run the full 4-mile course for the eight and ninth rounds of the championship.

During practice D'Agostino felt uncomfortable with his primary car and opted to try a spare car. While D'Agostino drove the spare the Formula Dodge crew went to work to sort out his primary car. After correcting the suspension and helpful feedback from the coaches, D'Agostino focused and prepared for qualifying.

With the two race format drivers have only one qualifying for each race. D'Agostino would best all previous qualifying efforts and qualify 3rd for Saturday's race and 2nd for Sunday's race, missing out on pole position by only .05 tenths of a second.

Saturday's race would be a bit of a struggle as D'Agostino made several mistakes and would find himself in 8th at the checkered flag. "I made a mistake on the setup of the car and paid for it, and I also put myself in some bad positions during the race as well. All I can do is learn from this and hope for a better result for tomorrow", D'Agostino said.

Sunday's race would prove to be better as D'Agostino would earn another top five finish in the series. D'Agostino was in the thick of things the entire race and missed a last lap incident which helped him move into the fifth position. "I'm happy with this result and overall I think things went well over the weekend. I improved on my qualifying which is one of the main goals I set for myself for this weekend".

With the 8th place finish and the 5th place finish D'Agostino move up one spot to sixth in the Championship standings. The series next event will be at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut on August 9-10.

D'Agostino wishes to thank all of his sponsors, Arai, Corsa, Kart Mini, MG Tires, Dodge, Michelin, Skip Barber Racing School and all of his personal sponsors.
