For immediate release: Plantation, Florida – Young American Joe D’Agostino recently got his first taste of a Formula Renault with Team JLR. The 19-year old D’Agostino tested with the team at the Pembrey circuit in Wales and finished the week with a test on the Silverstone National circuit in Northamptonshire. Over the 2 days D’Agostino completed nearly 500 miles and was able to drive in wet and dry conditions, being quick in both. The American settled in well to the new formula and is looking forward to competing in the UK Formula Renault Championship next season. D’Agostino had this to say about the tests, “What a fantastic car to drive and with the updated 2004 specifications the Formula Renault is very close to a Formula 3 car. I am glad that I had a smooth transition and adapted quickly to the new formula after having driven the Formula Ford all year. It was great to do the test with Team JLR and continue the relationship we shared this past season in Formula Ford. We all work well together and it made it really enjoyable for me.” Team owner Richard Dean added, “Joe slotted straight into our Formula Renault car as if he was born in it.
